Shade shelter structures for the Napranum community splash park on Cape York Peninsula. Part of Sail Structures' ongoing commitment to delivering quality infrastructure to remote and regional Indigenous communities.
Napranum is located near Weipa on Cape York, requiring extensive logistics planning for material transport. The structures needed to withstand extreme tropical weather including cyclones while being vandal-resistant for long-term community use.
Heavy-duty hard roof shelters were designed with cyclone-rated connections and robust materials. Sail Structures coordinated barge delivery of pre-fabricated components to minimise on-site construction time and community disruption.
